Poppy heads, grasses and really good foliage. Sometimes that’s enough. Our Florist Wild Poppy and Autumn Foliage Bunch is all about the things that often play second fiddle to flowers. Sculptural poppy heads, stems of eucalyptus, interesting leaves and fine grasses come together in one fabulous armful, ready to take home and arrange in your favourite vase.
Our florists hand select the foliage from what’s on the stand, looking for a good mixture of leaf shapes, greens and interesting stems. The poppy heads bring height, while finer grasses weave their way through the foliage. We keep plenty of length on the stems too, giving you lots to work with when you start arranging at home. Each bunch is hand crafted in our Marlow and Bourne End flower shops, creating a unique mix with plenty of natural shape and texture.
Once home, find a favourite vase, give the stems a fresh snip and start arranging. Let a poppy head sit a little higher, allow the grasses to wander and turn the foliage until you find the shape you like. Move things around, take a stem out and put it somewhere else. This bunch is made for having a play with.
And when the fresh stage is over, don’t be too quick to clear the vase. Allow the water to disappear naturally and see which stems begin to dry. Poppy heads and grasses are particularly good candidates, while some foliage can dry beautifully too. Simply remove any stems that don’t dry well and keep the ones that do. Your fresh autumn bunch may gradually become a completely different arrangement to enjoy for a little longer.

Please Note: Our larger bouquets need a little more room. If you’d like us to arrange the flowers in the vase before they leave our flower shop, just make sure you select the matching vase size when ordering.
