This one is all about the ingredients we reach for at Christmas. Fir, fruit, berries and spice, gathered in one rather lovely pot. Our florists fill the mossed ceramic pot with fresh blue fir and winter foliage, keeping the shape loose and full. Then come the details: slices of dried orange, apples, cinnamon sticks, pinecones and clusters of red berries. We tuck some deep into the greenery and leave others sitting proudly where you can see them.
A tall chapel candle goes into the centre. Once lit, the candlelight catches the oranges and berries and completely changes the feel of the arrangement. We make every pot individually at the florist bench, so the natural ingredients find their own place rather than following an exact recipe. Everything sits in a water holding oasis base to give the fresh foliage a good drink.
Pop it on the Christmas table, kitchen island or sideboard and light the candle as evening draws in.
