Autumn is when foliage really starts to earn its place on our flower stand. Into The Woods Showstopper Foliage Box is a big, generous selection of long stems, chosen for their colour, shape, scent and all those interesting textures that make greenery so good to arrange.
Our florists hand select each box on the day it leaves us. Parvi, blush eucalyptus, rosemary, mimosa and grasses can all find their way into the mix, along with wax flower and deeper burgundy foliage. We choose what looks best on the stand that morning and work the selection together by eye.
Branches stay long, leaves stay full and we keep plenty of those slightly wayward stems that give an arrangement its shape. That is important with foliage. Cut everything to the same height and half the fun disappears.
Once your box arrives, unwrap it and spread the stems out before you start. Find a large vase, add your biggest branches first and then work the softer foliage through them. Keep some stems tall, tuck others lower and let a few escape around the edges. It does not need to be neat.
There is plenty here for one big showstopper foliage arrangement, or divide your stems between a few vases around the house. A single branch of eucalyptus or autumn foliage can look just as good on its own.
